I have always been impressed by Shangri-La's service standard
A big shout-out to Mr Moorthy who went beyond his line of duty to find my jade bracelet that I left behind in a message hut on the beach. On the second day of our arrival, I went on the beach to have a message and placed my jade bracelet on the chair next to me but forgot to put it back on after the message. I only discovered the loss of it on the day of our departure and went to the beach but found that the message hut was closed. As we had a plane to catch in two hours time, out of desperation, I went and spoke to Mr Moorthy who was serving at Sigi's. He took down my phone number and said that he would follow up for me. Knowing that the message hut was not part of the hotel and they had no obligation to find it for me, I had almost given up the idea that I would ever find it. But to my surprise, a week after I have returned Hong Kong, Moorthy messaged me and told me that he had managed to trace the jade bracelet back and it is now with the hotel's lost and found department. Then after several phone calls and confirmation, they kindly sent my bracelet back via courier. I have always been impressed by Shangri-La's service standard but this incidence had me really in awe of how they really went above and beyond to not only make my family's holiday a fun and enjoyable experience but also make me very grateful for the personal touch they place on their customers.

We've had a most wonderful, restful, fun stay here
We've had a most wonderful, restful, fun stay here. I stayed here as a child maybe 25 years ago so this resort has been around for a while. They've done a good job with the refurbishment and maintenance though, it doesn't feel dated at all. My 6-year old son thoroughly enjoyed the Kids Club activities and wanted to participate everyday. That meant more time for mum & dad to chill - yay!! Service at the F&B outlets is rather slow and they should reexamine their check-in and - out procedures - there were longish lines at the reception throughout the day. Not something you'd expect of a Shangri-la property. Overall though, it was an awesome family getaway.

The staff services was very good

Friendly staff, awesome food, massive pools even a surprise birthday cake for wife..what can I say..superb!!
