We have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions over the past (5) years and have yet to be disappointed. We generally stay in the club room to use the benefits of the club and these are always of the highest class. While the hotel itself is well placed in the heart of the CBD shopping precinct. Staff are always more than helpful with a smile at all times.
Hotel is old but room is big enough , it is located very near to loads of shopping place which you do not have to take taxi around. the pool is always empty which i guess is normal for business traveler.
If you are looking for a hotel that is all about location and as well good service and good rooms than this is definitely the hotel to stay at. Right outside the hotel you will find the famous Pavilion Mall and Farenheit Mall. Furthermore, you are just 10 min walking distance from the well known Jalan Alor food street that serves different types of local, Chinese and Thai food. Around the corner from there you can also stop at Changkat Road from some drinks and good night life. The hotel itself is a very nice. The rooms until 12th floor (Deluxe Room) are still older rooms but the higher floors (Grand Deluxe Room and higher) have been newly renovated. But what stands out from this hotel is the STAFF. Everyone is just so friendly and helpful that you truly feel well taken care of.
Booked here for two nights just for the location as we needed to be close to the Pavilion and this was the closest on the map..but we'll be back for all sorts of reasons. Excellent location all round, near shops and restaurants. The rooms (we took a deluxe) are excellent - super comfortable beds and pillows with good facilities. Nice buffet breakfast - lots of choice and super service (Jonathan deserves special mention for his attentive service - nothing was too much trouble). Check in is excellent - lots of desks and staff and they checked us in straight away even though we were really early. The front of house staff were just great - again, special mention for Shaun who helped us changed rooms with no fuss at all and made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. All in all, this hotel has everything you need for a great weekend break (note it's pretty noisy at the pool at the moment because of nearby work but it's a lovely area).
Located at downtown, just next to Pavilion, easy to go out with Monorail, if not drive. The room is big, facility a little bit old, but looks elegant and comfortable. Easy to get food or shopping around. Staff very kind, and the breakfast very good, wifi faster than expected and easy to be connected. swimming pool and gym also big and comfortable. Only like remind here that since no international power adapter in the room, foreigner still need carry international power adapter, if you driver there with plenty baggages, better unload at main entry since some stairs need to pass from carpark to Lobby.
I've been travelling to KL on several occasions for work and I always look forward to stays at the Grand Millennium and always in the Club Rooms. It may cost a little more than the standard room but it's totally worth it. The rooms are clean, spacious and well appointed. There's a large LCD TV, complementary Internet and drinking water, and all the usual accoutrements (e.g. iron and ironing board, in-room safe, mini bar, alarm clock, bedside lighting control, shower stall and tub, etc.) The bathrooms are also spacious and well lit, and you get a decent range of toiletries. The shower stalls have both fixed and adjustable shower heads, and the hot water is always consistent. Club Floor rooms are on the 17th and 18th floors so it's pretty quiet. Windows are large too. And the club rooms give you access to the Club Lounge on the 18th floor (the preferred floor). Breakfast is served there and although it has a smaller selection than the coffee house downstairs, it's quieter and you get great service from the staff there. There's a happy hour in the evenings from 6 to 8:30pm as well, with free flow wine and beer, and an assortment of light bites that change daily. The team there are fantastic, especially Arysha and Rachel, who are friendly, attentive and gracious. They can handle your check-in and arrange for airport transfers as well. The hotel has a fantastic location, right next door to Pavilion Mall, and across the street from another two, Fahrenheit 88 and Lot 10. It's a 5 min walk to Sungei Wang and abt 8 min to Low Yat, the huge IT mall. For the adventurous, it's 15 min by covered walkway to KLCC. Some negatives are that the TV channel selection is not great. In the shower, the glass shower door has a plastic seal that doesn't always close completely, making the floor wet when you use it. Overall, a great business hotel and one for a short stay in central KL.
Went December a few years ago. Gorgeous room provided with luxurious bed and bathroom! Ideal location if you like to shop! Right by a major shopping mall. Fantastic service and very professional. Easy access to transport facilities and local eating places too. Will definitely stay there again!
this hotel was very clean classy quiet and everything you might ever need is there available without you even asking . club lounge was marvolus with the staff being very profesional lovley team lead by RACHEL, and the unique ARISYA with her charm smile glitered the whole location plus the hosting skills she got ... simply she made us over the moon . special thanks to her and her team ...
Its a very good option for business activities because of its central location, Great service, spacious party halls/ ballroom and good food. The Lobby is very spacious and rooms are also well maintained.
We decided to have our wedding reception at The Grand Millenium as we'd been to many other hotels, and couldn't find any other which had a ballroom as cosy, and as perfect for our requirements. The wedding went absolutely wonderfully well, with many thanks to the manager Francis Kek, who was not only so accommodating to all of our requests but whom we felt, actually put in the effort and time to make our wedding a wonderful occasion.
