It's a gorgeous house on a beautiful property. The food is very good; the English High Tea is excellent! The service was attentive and friendly, even the guard at the gate was very helpful. He kindly called us a taxi. Is there a lot to see? If you're not interested in the architecture of the house, then not so much. It so happens that I am interested, and it's just beautiful. It's a relic of the colonial era that they're doing a decent job of keeping up, but they have not turned it into a tourist attraction (yet). Finally, when looking at reviews from Malaysian Chinese, I hate to say it but the reality is, in my limited experience they usually don't like food other than their own. I asked a Malaysian Chinese where to get samosa, and they didn't know what a samosa is, even though it turned out there was a food stall on the corner that specialized in fried Indian foods.
Went there with high expectation as have heard good things about the place, but came out feeling disappointed. Just thought food should taste great with the price they are charging, but quality and taste was merely ok. The restaurant lacked atmosphere, but staff were attentive and friendly. Probably wouldn't go back again.
